“Make Heaven Crowded!”
"Have you heard it? I have—and I understand the heart behind it. The idea is that we go out and share our faith with others, that we are so on fire for Jesus that Heaven overflows with people worshiping the God of the universe. I can picture it: millions upon millions shoulder to shoulder, singing His praises." Join us today as Candace Nordine helps us see the true, biblical perspective of our great God and the magnitude of what He's preparing for us.

If you’re like me, with all that’s been going on in the world—the death of Charlie Kirk, the passing of Voddie Baucham—you may have found yourself thinking more about your faith, or maybe about those you love who don’t know Jesus. And those are good things to think about! The gospel should never grow old for us.
But lately, I’ve been reflecting on a phrase I’ve seen on profiles and heard people say: “Make Heaven Crowded.”
Have you heard it? I have—and I understand the heart behind it. The idea is that we go out and share our faith with others, that we are so on fire for Jesus that Heaven overflows with people worshiping the God of the universe. I can picture it: millions upon millions shoulder to shoulder, singing His praises.
Yet the more I thought about it, the more I wondered—can we truly, literally, make Heaven crowded?
Think about the God we serve. The heavens and the universe testify to His greatness. Scientists estimate there are about 7.5 sextillion grains of sand on all the beaches of the world. And they estimate there are between 10²⁴ and 10²⁵ stars in the observable universe—far more than all the grains of sand! And that’s only the observable part—we know there’s more beyond what we can see.
And our God made them all.
Not only did He create them, but Scripture says He knows them each by name:
Not only did He create them, but Scripture says He knows them each by name:
Isaiah 40:26
“Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.”
So, can we really make Heaven “crowded”? I don’t know how many people will be there, but I do know this: we are thinking far too small of God if we imagine finite human beings could ever fill up His Heaven.
Now—don’t hear what I’m not saying! God commands us to make disciples, and we absolutely should strive to bring as many people to Him as possible. But in light of who He is, we can trust that Heaven is not limited, and there IS room for everyone. His glory, His creation, His kingdom—these are beyond anything we can comprehend.
In a single word, He said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Every bit of light the universe has ever known came into existence because He spoke it. How vast and immeasurable, then, will Heaven be?
John gives us a glimpse in Revelation 7:9:
“There before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.”
We don’t know exactly how big Heaven is—but one thing is certain: it will never be crowded.
