The Heart Behind the Song

This song was born out of a powerful moment of vision and purpose. Dr. Randy Baker, Chairman of the Board for Reasons for Hope, was deeply moved during a conversation with Carl Kerby. Carl shared his passion to leave a lasting message for the youth attending our EQUIP Retreats—a message that would give them the right foundation to stand strong amid the chaos of today’s world.

As Carl introduced his new talk, “One Letter . . . Big Difference!”, Randy encouraged him to put his heart into words. Carl did just that—and Randy brought those words to life in the form of this song.
