The majestic mountains and a crashing computer – what a week!

First, our apologies.  We’ve heard from many of you that several of the links in last week’s update didn’t work.  And, if that’s not a big enough problem, my computer crashed — and I do mean crashed so I couldn’t work on fixing the problem!  My hard drive just got replaced and I am thanking God that I backed up my computer just a few days before it happened.  I’ll tell you about that in next weeks blog.  Here’s last weeks update, thanks again!

This has been an interesting week to say the least!  I shared with you last week what happened when I flew home from Des Moines, IA through Detroit on Monday.  If you missed it, it’s actually kind of funny.  Now, let me fill you in on what’s been happening this week!

On Tuesday we had an rforh meeting with most of our staff and volunteers.  You can see a short video of our meeting below.

It was a really encouraging day.  After meeting last week and making the decision on how we’re going to move forward it was good to sit and meet with the folks that can and (Lord willing!) will make it happen.  I’ve got to get the Team updated and share with you the whole team.

Shari Abbott, who started working for us the end of April, is an unbelievable part of the team.  She has 13 years experience working in PR and marketing in the home decor and gift industries, plus internet marketing and website creation and maintenance.  She tells me that she is enjoying promoting the message of Jesus Christ much more than she ever did promoting companies and their products.  No surprise there.  She’s our Communications Director and truly does so much and has GREAT ideas.  I’ll get her information up on the site soon.  She does a LOT!

Carlotta has joined the rforh team as a volunteer!  She is taking over the Prayer Section on the web site.  I am soooo excited about that.  Praying for one another is so important and such a privilege.  Please send us your request at pray4me@rforh.com and we’ll get it up on the site.  Also, please go there and pray for folks!  I love you Prayer Warriors, thank you!  In addition, Carlotta is helping with inputting the names of all the folks who sign up for our newsletter AND making personal contact with folks like you!  This is a HUGE piece, and I know people will enjoy talking with Carlotta.  Thank you ma’am!

The rest of the day I worked on a new format for the rforh blog.  It needs to become an rforh blog and not just Carl’s blog.

Wednesday, ouch, Wednesday!  That was a bad day, but it was a good day as well.  If you want to read more check out this month’s Straight Talk.

I spent a LONG time on the computer Thursday.  We’re trying to get a better look for the blog and newsletter.  I also had to write a LOT of letters and am working on the latest deBunked script.  Bub is doing an amazing job and I can’t wait to see the final product.  In addition I had to send out a book order for my upcoming speaking engagement at The Berean Call, in Bend OR.  If you are in this area plan on attending the TBC Conference at The Riverhouse Hotel and Convention Center.

Things are moving so fast at the ministry.  We’re growing by leaps and bounds, with new projects and moving forward on existing ones.

Please know that we love connecting with you.  Follow rforh on Twitter and Facebook and come say “hi” if we’re anywhere near your hometown.  It seems I’m covering a lot of territory these days.  We’re moving forward with a couple new projects that are specifically designed for our rforh community.  You’ll be hearing more about them soon.

Sorry this ending is weird.  I’m working on a computer at the Mac store.  Mine died in Colorado.  Please pray!!!

Carl K.

P.S. – Thankfully got my computer back after 2.5 days.  Good updates next week, blessings.
