Do you have what it takes? If the ultimate goal’s vision is lost, the coach needs to get the team to remember what “lies ahead.”
Last week Reasons for Hope’s Wade Wacker shared the initial lesson from this video clip, “Keep Going.” This week Wade asks, “do you have what it takes to reach your ultimate goal?”
Do you have what it takes? If the vision of the ultimate goal is lost, the coach needs to get the team to remember what “lies ahead.” For a football player it means keeping his mind in the game and his eye on the end zone. For a Christian it means renewing our minds with God’s Word (Romans 12:2) and fixing our eyes upon Jesus (Hebrews 12:2). Those two things will produce a “win” in life, and we will be able to stand strong in the face of trials and tribulations. Jesus will give us the strength to reach our ultimate goal of becoming more like Him. Trust in Jesus!
2 Cor 12:9-10 And He [Jesus] said unto me [Paul], “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness… ” Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
